I have done the East end of this trail, heading to the top of Quarry Rock in Deep Cove. There's parking lots and street parking, but on the weekends it could be limited.

Deep Cove is about an hour ride from downtown Vancouver via public transit. You just have to take one bus and it will take you right in to Deep Cove. Looking around, there was limited parking even for a weekday so I would recommend taking public transit if you can. On a weekday afternoon, it was not too busy so it was quite peaceful and tranquil.

It is quite easy and don't be surprised to see people hiking with kids, in jeans or with a Starbucks cup in their hands.
