Feb 14, 2017· The Ngaka coal mine in Ruvuma, south-west Tanzania, is the only active coal mine in Tanzania at present. The mine is operated by TANCOAL, a joint venture between the state-owned National Development Corporation (NDC) and Australia's Intra Energy Limited (IETL). It was established in 2008 and began production in 2011.
